Kylian Mbappe of PSG played the whole 90 minutes and scored five goals against a sixth-tier opponent.


At the Stade Bollaert Delelis of RC Lens on Monday, Kylian Mbappe scored five goals as Paris Saint-Germain thrashed sixth-tier team Pays de Cassel 7-0 in the Coupe de France round of 32. The French superstar defeated amateur opponents with a hat-trick in the first half, a brace in the second, and even had time to set up striker partner Neymar for more insurance. Mbappe and Neymar played the entire 90 minutes.

Mbappe’s quintuple is the first in PSG club history and brings him four goals closer to Edinson Cavani, who currently holds the record for most goals scored with 200. For this game, Lionel Messi, a fellow superstar, was given the night off.

After the game, head coach Christophe Galtier remarked, “Kylian is a goal scorer.” “He is obviously fixated on scoring. Last year, he scored a good number of goals, around 56 for the entire year. It was crucial that he and Neymar participated in the entire contest.”
